Hi guys,

Today I bring to you a review of the new release RED: The True Story of Red Riding Hood by Liesl Shurtliff. I love fairy tales and I love OUAT. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel.

Here’s the summary:

And don’t miss Jack: The True Story of Jack and the Beanstalk, “a delightful story of family, perseverance and courage” (Booklist).

I loved the way Red was portrayed, I loved all the connections between the different story lines. Re-tellings are one of m y favorite things, I love seeing people’s different takes on very popular series. Little Red Riding Hood was never one of my favorite stories but this book as well as Ruby’s story line in OUAT definitely gave me a new appreciation for it.

If you enjoy re-tellings, books like The Lunar Chronicles series, shows like Once Upon A Time, I think you’ll enjoy this. It’s a fast, simple read that brings you back to your childhood.  I’m looking forward to checking out more of her work.
